Building Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a qualified and dependable Building Maintenance technician to join our team. In this role, you will help maintain our facilities, equipment, and overall shop environments across multiple Alaska locations. The ideal candidate is experienced, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to safety, reliability, and consistent follow-through. Location

Alaska: Anchorage, Eagle River, Wasilla and Fairbanks

Schedule

Full-time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Occasional overtime as needed

Travel required between Anchorage, Eagle River, Wasilla, and Fairbanks locations

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance to help keep facilities operating safely and efficiently
  • Complete basic building, equipment, and repair work as needed
  • Diagnose maintenance issues and make timely repairs
  • Repair machines, equipment, and structures as necessary
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Review manuals, parts information, and repair references when needed
  • Coordinate with and oversee outside contractors for specialized repairs
  • Help maintain clean, safe, and functional work environments across locations
  • Support other maintenance-related duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven building or facility maintenance experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Technical school or related trade education preferred
  • Valid Alaska driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation and valid insurance
  • Open availability and ability to travel as needed
  • Strong working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic repair methods
  • Ability to disassemble equipment and replace defective parts
  • Ability to read blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as needed
  • Experience using common maintenance tools such as drills, saws, wrenches, and hoists
  • Experience with precision measuring tools or electronic testing devices preferred
  • Strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Professional attitude and dependable work habits
  • Willingness to wear proper PPE when required
